Pastor Kaatee Bailey’s 2016 Israel Mission trip gave our group a deeper understanding, appreciation, love of the people & the rich culture & history of the Holy Land than the tour I took twenty years ago because we interacted with Israelis, were educated & worked with them through connections she has nurtured in eight visits to Israel. We were not only tourists but educated travelers visiting an office of the Knesset or parliament & a national magazine office, staying a week in a kibbutz or communal cooperative, listening to a lecture by the grand-niece of David Ben-Gurion, founder of modern Israel, entertaining at-risk, mostly Ethiopian kids & participated in two authentic Shabbats. We even visited the Palestinian occupied West Bank. Israel is a safe, alert & well-guarded country as all Israelis serve in the military. Israeli cities, where you can walk anywhere safely at night, are statistically much safer than probably all major American cities.
